We’re so excited to welcome our first brand of false lashes to Gorgeousshop, La La Lashes are a wonderful range of lashes which range from the naturally lengthening to the down-right insane.

I tried the La La Lashes – Diamond, natural looking bit with a hint of silver sparkle to glam it up a little. The trickiest part was putting these lashes on, I ended up in a right mess of sticky glue fingers which meant that the lashes stuck to them rather than my eyelids, after roughly half-an-hour I had them on and they did look fabulous.

I wore them to an awards ceremony at the Camden Roundhouse which was very hot and sticky, thankfully, whilst the rest of me was hot and bothered the lashes stuck well all night and were still in the same place I had attached them by the end of the evening.

I would love to give them a higher mark, but I really feel the lashes fell down on the glue front, perhaps I wasn’t applying them correctly but I did follow the instructions to the letter. Also when it came to taking the lashes off they came off painlessly with a gentle tug, unfortunately it took 2 days of rubbing my eyes to get the glue off – yuck.

The lashes themselves were gorgeous and I think of a very high quality, so perhaps with the right know how and make-up remover they’ll be problem free. The price is fantastic so it’s worth a whirl anyway!

Well it’s officially Autumn which means it’s time to pull out all those gorgeous big jumpers, scarves and boots from the back of the wardrobe as well as making sure your nails match all your new outfits.

So on to the fun, it’s London Fashion Week at the moment, and although the clothes on the catwalk are part of designers Spring/Summer 2010 collections, a lot of the Autumn/Winter 2009 can be seen transferring to more lightweight fabrics. You can’t walk into any high-street or even designer store at the moment without spotting one of the colours below, and now you can match your nails with your outfit for ultimate colour co-ordination.

Purple’s – Purple was huge last year and it seems that it’s going to be big again, at London Fashion week earlier in the year Nicole Farhi, Vivienne Westwood and Julien MacDonald’s Autumn/Winter 2009 collections all featured this colour. Dusky Pink – From Peach to Rose these pastel based colours echo Autumnal leaves, but still tease to Spring when blossom’s start to burst. Wrap up warm in deeper versions of these colours or dress up in chiffon. Designers John Rocha and Jenny Packham both featured the peach colour in their catwalk shows, a gorgeous peach colour is Jessica Nails Colour – 370 Beautiful (14.8ml) £8.06 and a simply delightful dusky rose is Jessica Nails Colour – 408 Pink Passion (14.8ml) £8.06.
