Hey Gorgeous Girls and Guys,
We’re so excited to welcome our first brand of false lashes to Gorgeousshop, La La Lashes are a wonderful range of lashes which range from the naturally lengthening to the down-right insane.
I tried the La La Lashes – Diamond, natural looking bit with a hint of silver sparkle to glam it up a little. The trickiest part was putting these lashes on, I ended up in a right mess of sticky glue fingers which meant that the lashes stuck to them rather than my eyelids, after roughly half-an-hour I had them on and they did look fabulous.
I wore them to an awards ceremony at the Camden Roundhouse which was very hot and sticky, thankfully, whilst the rest of me was hot and bothered the lashes stuck well all night and were still in the same place I had attached them by the end of the evening.
I would love to give them a higher mark, but I really feel the lashes fell down on the glue front, perhaps I wasn’t applying them correctly but I did follow the instructions to the letter. Also when it came to taking the lashes off they came off painlessly with a gentle tug, unfortunately it took 2 days of rubbing my eyes to get the glue off – yuck.
The lashes themselves were gorgeous and I think of a very high quality, so perhaps with the right know how and make-up remover they’ll be problem free. The price is fantastic so it’s worth a whirl anyway!
My gorgeous rating: 3.5 out of 5

Hey Gorgeous Girls and Guys,
So there’s been a wave of craziness sweeping our Facebook and Twitter accounts recently – Blinc have arrived at Gorgeousshop, and the girls in the office couldn’t be more excited. But the proof, as they say, is in the pudding so we set to trialling these innovative products to give you an honest low-down of the next big thing to hit make-up!
Blinc Mascara (6g) – £15.95
I actually jumped at the chance to road test this when it came into stock – the fuss about Blinc Mascara is that it is the original waterproof mascara that forms tiny tubes around each lash, rather than painting them, for a water-proof, smudge-proof and tear-proof result. Blinc also claim that your lashes are volumised and lengthened for dramatic definition.
Blinc say that their mascara has been formulated to be suitable for even sensitive eyes, wearers of contact lenses, active people and performers – AND that this no-smudge, anti-fade mascara does not clump or smudge and lasts from dawn till dusk.
Were they right? I think the answer is yes actually. Whilst my lashes weren’t comparable in length and volume that you get with false lashes they were noticeably defined and the main reason someone would use this mascara is for it’s staying power and that can’t be faulted. My overall score is 4 g’s!
Blinc Liquid Eyeliner (6g) – £15.95
They say that this Eyeliner “…is an intensely dramatic liquid liner which lasts all day long. “
We say that it’s not that far off however our tester did find that her sensitive eyes were a little itchy after the first use but they didn’t flare up or water and after 10 minutes they were fine. She’s used it a few times and likes the fact that it doesn’t clump or flake and it is also a great consistency to apply. After no further irritations she gave it three and a half g’s!

Hey Gorgeous Girls and Guys,
Just thought I’d drop you a quick note about the brand new and totally fabulous L’Anza Healing Smooth range that has just launched at gorgeousshop! When we heard about this innovative new range of products we thought that the idea was too good to be true – L’Anza Healing Smooth products work in combination with one-another to help you achieve smooth, straight and luscious hair. Coix seed’s amino acids soften the bonds which define your hair’s type, not breaking them – as Brazilian straightening techniques do, but rather gently manipulating them and bending them so that they straighten instead of curl around one-another. Frizz is locked out and moisture locked in for a softer and glossier finish.
So with the products looking promising on paper I set to road testing the shampoo
and conditioner on my bleached blonde, long, wavy and slightly brittle hair – after 2 weeks I have fallen in love, and that is no exaggeration! Firstly to the straightening effect; L’Anza recommends that for the most effective results to use the complete system, when I blow dried my hair and also when I left it to dry naturally, I did notice that my hair didn’t wave as much as normal. My hair felt certainly smoother, and also more manageable, I also noticed a secondary effect, my brittle and stripped bare hair all of a sudden felt thicker and got it’s shine back – like I’d just had a load of extensions put in! The ends which normally look dry and split appeared to have got strength and didn’t flick at the end like they used to which gives my hair a further look of straightening. All the above was achieved by using the shampoo and conditioner alone, if you were to use the complete range you should expect better results.
I wouldn’t say to give up your hair straighteners altogether in favour of this range, but I will say that using this product has made me use them far less, if I’m a t the gym I now don’t think twice about blasting my hair with the blow-dryer for 5 minutes and then leaving – and even in the rain my hair remains straight and doesn’t frizz up and curl like it used to!
So a big thumbs up for this gorgeous new range…and did I mention it’s colour safe too so there’s no excuse not to give it a go…only problem is I’m running out now, humm perhaps if I ask nicely the lovely people at L’Anza will provide me with a vat of Healing Smooth to bathe in!?!?
My gorgeous rating: 4.5 out of 5 (just because I didn’t try the rest of the range)
