Gorgeous Shop were lucky enough to be invited to London Fashion Week last weekend courtesy of Wella. To be more specific, the Wella Creative team were back stage creating beautiful hair styles for the stunning Spring Summer 2012 collection of shoes and accessories from Charlotte Olympia.

The event attracted many visitors to the Institute of British Architects including Zandra Rhodes amongst others . The theme of the show was clearly inspired by Charlotte’s own Brazilian roots with the continuous two hour walk on set inspired by the beaches of Rio, making the perfect back drop for the new collection.

Think bold, gold and fruity, Carmen Miranda would be proud of this one.

The evocative Rio platform was on show plus the new 80mm classic heal, in fact the exotic collection brought bold patterns , sumptuous gold heals and comfortable vibrant espadrilles wedges. Summer was clearly brought to life with a classic 50′s Pathe movie feel.

Charlotte Olympia‘s impressive career continues to attract attention with her designs coveted by Sarah Jessica Parker, Keira Knightley, Blake Lively, Katy Perry and Beyoncé amongst others. So this new collection will no doubt be seen adorning celebrities through out next summers gala events.

Each model was styled in bright summery beach and evening wear , with classic accessories from Charlotte’s collection, including the intriguing Pandora clutch box. The relaxed set continued to evolve and come to life making the guest list become subtly part of the whole event. Subtle changes of shoes, accessories and outfits gave the audience time to admire each new piece. This may have come as welcome change of pace for some, from the frantic catwalks else where in the city.

Finally, The Wella styling team definitely captured the intended feel of the event with classic hair styling that complimented the vibrant yet elegant feel of the show. So well done to them. Naturally, they where using the latest styling products from Sebastian that you can purchase from gorgeous shop to create your very own classic style.
